Welcome to this website intended to aid in the dissemination of the thought of Russell Kirk. For Kirk, Edmund Burke’s thought served as THE starting point. In his Reflections on the Revolution in France, Burke wrote : “All the decent drapery of life…superadded ideas, furnished from the wardrobe of the moral imagination, which the heart owns and the understanding ratifies, as necessary to cover the defects of our naked shivering nature, and to raise it to dignity in our own estimation….” This ancillary site documents in video and audio of and about Dr. Kirk and his efforts to expound on the concept of the moral imagination.
